So yesterday it was finally time for the Persistence Tour with the finest of hc represented by my fave Terror and some more (SOIA, Madball, Walls of Jericho and more).
Some good things:
*Terror was the best!
*I decided to give Walls of Jericho the benefit of the doubt (is that correct English?) because usually I'm not that lyrical about chicks in bands, and I'm glad I did: I liked it a lot! I thought she was really cool and she had the moves
. I even went to buy the new cd but they didn't have it. They didn't sell the new Terror either. Hmm.
*I tought SOIA was nice as well, altough I've never did a lot of effort or listened to their cd's. I thought it had a lot to do with punkrock as well, which is where my roots are, so I liked it! I've attended so many festivals where they played but I thought I never really saw them perform, but after three songs I knew that I had (I just can't recall where and when)
*Sinterklaas bought me a nice Terror top which I will receive tomorrow
Some not so good things:
*The hall (013, Tilburg) was much too full up! It was so crowded, I don't even want to know how squished in you must have been at the front, so I decided to stay somewhere in the middle, which was good. It was really hot as well, it felt as hot as Power Fest (but it must have been loads hotter then, because it was about 20 degrees hotter outside)
*Terror played much TOO short, I can't believe it, it was over before it had actually begun
*The beer was gross so I drank bottles of water (which was lots better)
* Everybody nagging about a circle pit
Also I saw an ex who's married now .
I spotted Clio at the SOIA merch, I didn't see Candy, I think?
And luckily I didn't run in to a lot of old "friends" who are exes, brothers of exes and other people who I'm very ambivalent about.
All have a good week, I'll try as well.
