been a few days... not much to say really...
new look for the site is way better for the most part...
parents are here in a few days. it'll be nice to have them see the kids and vice versa. I'm sure we'll all get spoiled, but especially the kids.
friend of mine had a copy of the new Bardo Pond, I guess it's an advance copy... "Ticket Crystals"... anyway, it's really good, but that's nothing shocking I suppose...
now that Sopranos 6 is over I am getting rid of digital cable... I'll just re-order it for a couple months when they air the final 8 episodes... to make a long story short, I got transferred like 6 times and then hung up on when I was trying to get something resolved on the phone with them... I wasn't impressed... so fuck them and all their useless channels that never have anything on anyway...
I got a good one in on the wife yesterday... every so often I make a mp3 compilation for her to take to work... some stuff she wants, some stuff I think she should hear, etc... anyway, I did the last one... put Converge, Explosions In The Sky, Six Organs of Admittance and the new (next week, hehe) Sonic Youth for her; as well as some Sarah Harmer, Tori Amos and Wolfmother at her request. there was a wee bit of space left... so I created a folder called You Will Hate Me... I told her it was this new emo-ish band my friend had told me about that I thought she'd like (she's into emo, I'm not really)... anyway, the You WIll Hate Me folder contained a single mp3: Manowar - "Kings of Metal"
(she HATES power metal)... she walked away from her desk during the last Wolfmother song.. then came back, heard Manowar playing and was like "what the fuck?"... I got called Asshat for the rest of the day after that one... hehehehehehe
