Yeah, if you can use Twitter to do some good and not let it bring you down, that's great! I do occasionally miss using Facebook as a platform to speak about things that matter, but for me it wasn't worth it. I still send emails to my MP, sign petitions, speak to people in person, and when I move house, I'm planning to join a local group and work in the community. If I ever end up with some money, I'll donate to the charities I believe in. Most governments are disappointing, largely because they're self-serving, but even when there is someone good they tend to be blocked from making real change. You weren't rambling, I agree with what you said.

And I agree with you @fayestrawberry, that governments are, by and large, self serving, especially in recent years. Or so it seems. But there's only so much one can do. So I do what I can and try not to dwell on the state of things. I'm glad to hear that you do what you can, too. It's encouraging to hear that others care. And I hope you're having a wonderful day. Sorry for not replying sooner. These long days make it difficult to stay awake and keep up with my social obligations. Not that I feel obligated to respond, I quite enjoy our conversations. I use "obligation" for lack of better term. 😉
