This woman was looking for performers on the always excellent Nonsense NYC mailing list. I went to a meeting yesterday. We're going to put on a largely improvised play on a subway car, travelling from Union Square to Queens. Once. In two weeks. After one rehearsal. So, this should be fun, or at the very least, interesting. I'll keep you posted.

Last night...

I got back from hott_coco's goodbye party just now. Goodbye, hott_coco! I had a good time. Typing is very concentration-intensive, so this is tough. I think I'll eat some potato chips and then go to bed.

glad to hear you had a fun and non-hangovered time biggrin

I feel very uninterested today. I don't know if it's a chemical thing, like I ate too much MSG last night, or what. I'm too lazy to get anything done, but I can't even waste time effectively.

I spent way too much time yesterday posting on the boards, especially the thread about circumcision. I'm reminded of the saying, "Arguing on the internet is like...

Santa cruz is like a caffine addiction to me. It's not that big a deal, and it kept me going in the mornings, but once you get over it, you realise it didn't really do anything for you that you couldn't do yourself.

I miss it to though sometimes, then I go there and I remember why I left. Too many faces and memories.

VSLF is now off nights, working in a different department in the hospital. Starting a new rotation is always stressful; it doesn't help that she seems to have developed a cold. We woke this morning at 5:30 so I could make her breakfast before she runs off and she was feeling pretty pukey. Hopefully she'll feel better when she gets home tonight.

Once it turns...

An Insidious Attitude

"Ooooo-kay...."
"Whoa! A little too much information there!"
"Yikes. Thanks for sharing."

When somebody says something that either

A. you know they aren't completely comfortable with saying
or
B. you aren't entirely comfortable with hearing

you can say one of the above handy phrases (completely in jest, of course) to shut them up (and it will) and restore equilibrium.

On the...

I'm taking this weird "Body Dynamics" class. It's not an acting class, it's a class for actors to get us in touch with our instrument. Upside: touching other peoples' butts. Downside: New-age jargon.

I got into the class when my acting teacher recommended it. Apparently I'm extremely unbalanced. Uh, physically. When I stand, I tend to lean forward. And my arms don't hang very...

skryche:
i know why you are have these "human problems" it's cause you are a robot

I'm actually solid throughout! Like a potato!

Oh, and here's more proof of my inhumanity: I can't sit cross-legged. Seriously. If I try, I fall over. The VSLF finds it very amusing. We'll have guests over, and she'll be all, "Hey, you guys want to see something funny? Jon-- try and sit crosslegged!"
relethed:
poor, poor skryche. where do i begin when i try to pity him? his lack of coordination? his falling over problem? his absence of head?

*weep in confusion for his problematic existence*

Johnny Five: Alive!

I can't be the only member who's viewed another member'sprofile only to see a bad film on someone's "Favorite Films" list.

No, wait. I don't mean a bad film-- it might be a good film. I mean a film such that the idea of someone describing it as one of their favorite films is offensive-- but a message that the film projects...

this is too complicated for me to understand.....

maybe if you didn't look like you were about to eat someone's brain, you would have an easier time looking pretty at work wink
fuzzybunny:
Thanks, you GOT it! kiss [the squirting imperative now afflicting popular porn culture...]

Ohhh, most hated "favorite" movie: "Pretty Woman," it makes me want to pimp slap anyone who finds the slightest bit of romance in its patently paternalistic, materialistic and utterly unrealistic portrayal of prostitution. That, my friend, is a DANGEROUS movie. I feel homicidal to even think about that one!

I'm temping at this marketing company today. One of their receptionists is out sick and they need someone to just sit at the front desk and look pretty. All I do is answer the occasional phone call and hit the door button whenever I see someone heading towards the door. There's this one guy who has a high-powered exec air about him - you know,...

Aw gee, why are the virtues of Leave it to Beaver rarely mentioned? These days it's thought of as a naive portrait of the fifties nuclear family, but the adventures of Wally and the Beav are so much more than that.

The show is funny. Rarely an episode passes that I don't laugh out loud. On that scoreboard, it's better than Friends.

It's...

I'm on a roll, I appeared to have killed four threads today:

abortion - an ancient practice? @ 9:01 AM
UFOs detected by NASA observatory @ 9:15 AM
If you could switch genders for a day... @ 9:21 AM
What's your favourite bad movie? @ 1:27 PM

Who knows what wonders tomorrow may bring?

hi, skryche. i want to commend you on killing those threads. in case you couldn't find it, my sg name is "relethed" not "iamrelethed"

what does that mean? (that boy needs therapy)-- is the rest of the cd pretty good? i've almost picked it up about 10 times.
