I was telling VSLF the other day how there's nothing I love more than waking in the middle of the night and slurping noisily from the glass of water by the side of the bed thereby waking VSLF up at which point she reaches out and one-hand-claps as a request for said glass.
VSLF has no recollection of this, though it happens at least once...

Last night VSLF and I went to the Porno Liberation Front, which fronted a disappointingly small amount of porno. None, actually; just PSAs from the 1950s. But the idea is so good, I'll go back. And the go-go dancers were great.

Yes, I actually did know all that about llamas. My friend raises them in Michigan. I've kissed llamas before. It's less of a kiss and more of a They Like to Put Their Face in Yours thing. Like inches away. It's really cute.
I'm getting drunk so quickly and easily on these cheap Red Bull & Vodka knockoffs. They taste like Mountain Dew crossed with Bubble Gum. I like it, but I can see how some might not.
So keep in mind this is a drunken journal posting.
I can't believe that I'm still working at this one place. They have just about no work for me to...

i heart the pirate movie, so fun and silly. saw it and then sneaked into the hulk with my friend. after that we tryed to push over some cars and mug an old lady, damn the influence of THE HULK!!!

Hey I added a testimonial for your friendster page. Let's hang out at my place and at neighboring coffee shop soon and shoot some test scenes and brainstorm about this film we're going to make.
You know what's great? Really really wonderful? Laundry service. I tried it the first time last week. Instead of lugging our laundry to the stinky basement and sorting and detergenting and lugging to the dryer and cleaning the lint trap and lugging back up to the apartment and (the worst part) folding hot clothes on a hot day and paying $6 for the privilege, I...

I've been spending an awful lot of time with AlexKarina lately. We had dinner on Tuesday, he flaunted his underworld connections for me on Wednesday, and VSLF and I saw Cat Power on Thursday.
Yeah, so Cat Power gave a free show at Castle Clinton in Battery Park. You ever play Deus Ex? One of the missions is at Castle Clinton; so it's a...

Last night the VSLF and I went to BigBabyBrooklyn's Lounge Arcade over in Brooklyn. I enjoyed Super Monkey Ball the most. I'd like to proudly point out that VSLF was gifted enough at the stupidly-difficult Smurfs (ColecoVision) to rescue Smurfette and win a free drink. Woo hoo!
I have never gotten home from Bergen St. (in Brooklyn) easily, and last night was no exception....

Yes, i am trying to learn to play. It is actually a lot of fun, and sounds impressive even with a small amount of skill. I am hoping to play a little with the old folks at the family reunion.

hello, my first and dearest sg friend!
yeah, well, i know i'm probably slipping several rungs on the ladder by my prolonged absence...and my once promising sg society has lost a lot of its steam....
between my disorganized personal life, and the fact that i lost my internet a month ago, i venture that i've managed to slip into the ether of my friends' consciousnesses....
oh, well, what's done is done.
glad to hear that you're as active as ever
nice choices in music...tho ms phair is one whom i respect but don't have quite the taste for...i like what she does, but can't just sit and listen to it over and over. not like i can do w/radiohead.
peace, and here's hoping that i'll be 'round often enough to get back in the swing of things,

We went to the District of Columbia for our Independence Day cerebrations. We took the mode of transportation known as the Chinatown bus, buses that travel from Chinatown to Chinatown. $30 round-trip is pretty hard to argue with. Greyhound is like 80, and don't even mention Amtrak.
I read the address for the bus stop as "88 Broadway". What a moron. I should've realized...

Thanks for your concern. I have great idea for short film that I am dying to tell you about!

I promise!
We watched Ringu last night. I may lose indie-cred for saying so, but I definitely preferred the remake. Still, we got creeped out. We paused it to make root beer floats, and the door to our bedroom slammed exactly as the movie unpaused to loud TV. (Eek.)
Then a hay-ooj cockroach flew in our window. We caught it under a big glass bowl. And...

Had dinner & drinks with BigBabyBrooklyn last night. He's been talking about interviewing with "Mario" I thought it was the actual name of the interviewer, and since he's in games, I joked that I imagined him as a plumber in a red cap. No, he's been interviewing at Nintendo. I was just repeating his joke back to him. Regardless, I do hope you'll wish him...

I watched Finding Nemo last weekend.
What's the deal with Pixar making everything so fucking cute? I would've enjoyed it more if the animals actually looked like the animals they were supposed to be. Look at their eyes! They're so damn googly & human! They should let the writing and the acting make the character, not all this mugging.

Totally agree w/ you about Pixar. I haven't seen, and probably won't see Nemo b/c its look is more saccharine than I can stand. I really liked the Toy Story films and Monsters Inc.--and of course Luxo Jr.. I have to suspect it's Disney's influence that keeps the stories so formulaic while forcing the aesthetic to be increasingly baby-toyish.
Whatever could you mean by "hulkesque"? It's clear I'm wearing no purple shorts, so do explain. Oh, never mind. It's probably the guitar...

Didjya read it yet? Huh? Didjya?
I really want to talk with someone about it. The Darwin book, I mean. Cuz I just realized the last time I journaled was a month ago, and you might have no frickin' clue what I'm talking about.
