I spilled beer on my keyboard the other day. vyeseleph told me something that bothered me, and as part of my subsequent snit I tipped over my bottle of Rolling Rock. You wouldn't think so, but a keyboard can hold a lot of liquid. I drained it as best I could, then left it outside overnight to dry off.

The next day it worked fine, until all the tiny multimedia keys at the top started to stick. Then I lost the ability to do capital letters. I open that mother up and wiggled things around. It works better, but some keys require quite a bit of hammering before they register. So: off to CompUSA to purchase their cheapest keyboard.

I had a good Sunday Audition Crew last night. We spent the whole time talking about which big-name actors are getting our roles. In other words, which actors have similar products to us. As I've said before, my product is "Eccentric, charming, droll, seemingly haughty, analytical, and dispassionate, but truly good at heart." So, for me:

  • Adam Goldberg (not sure about "truly good at heart")
  • Brian Posehn (charming? analytical? But a number of people have named him)
  • Paul Giamatti (his product is darker and more frustrated than mine)
  • Paul Rudd (not so eccentric, nor haughty)
  • David Schwimmer (I don't think he's eccentric or charming)
  • Topher Grace (Not terribly eccentric, but otherwise a possible good match)
  • John Hannah (eccentric? analytical?)
  • Wallace Shawn (I wish! But he's neither dispassionate nor good at heart, right?)
  • Alan Ruck (More neurotic than eccentric and not particularly good at heart)
  • David Hyde Pierce (He's all those things! He'd be perfect... if he wasn't so prissy!)

Anyway, your input is greatly encouraged. Is there anyone else my product makes you think of?

Alan Ruck... isn't it weird how he looked 16 in Ferris Bueller's Day Off but aged unnaturally quickly afterwards?
