Oh my god. Brunch this morning (constructed entirely by Very Special Mother-In-Law) was absolutely unbelievable. Crispy hashbrowns, Asparagus Benedict (with utter ladles of truffle hollandaise), fruit salad, fluffy pancakes (actually brounght by friends from upstairs who brunched with us), and (of course) a whole lot of mimosa and bloody mary.
Today I learned how much butter goes into hollandaise sause. By my calculations, I have eaten a reasonable number of calories for the week, provided I do not eat again until next Sunday.
I spent the early evening forcing VSMIL to play videogames, trying to get her addicted. She's not a huge fan of Unreal Tournament 2004, it turns out.
Then we watched Kill Bill. VSMIL muttered disapprovingly about the violence the whole way through, but after it was done claimed to have liked it. So that's good. I liked it quite a bit (especially the first two-thirds); vyeseleph was pretty meh.
And the Sopranos. That fucking cousin Tony. Steve Buscemi's always got to screw things up for himself, doesn't he?

i think steve buscemi is the best thing about this season! he's just so.. i dunno.. hard to like in so many ways. i love it!

Oh man, I was so upset when Tony's cousin started beating on the Korean. I thought he had everything in order.
