Leah's signed up to take a painting class across the street at SVA. She just has the creative urge, you know? But it's like she's signed up there as a proper student. She's getting (useless) class credit. I think she'll even get a student ID, suitable for all sorts of delicious discounts. I guess most of the other students will be almost ten years younger than she.

She went to a drug dinner (pharmaceutical companies wine & dine physicians and then yammer on about the drug they want prescribed more) two nights ago. I've been trying to get her to bring me along as a guest to one of these soirees, but she feels like it'd be sleazy. I say that the whole theme of drug dinners is corporate sleaze, you might as well take advantage of it. Make those corporations really pay for doctor ear!

I think the restaurant was Union Pacific. It was definitely one of Rocco's, because he came out and schmoozed with the group. The lead singer for The Cars was also at the restaurant that night. And many of the other doctors brought their significant others.
