Citysearch recommended a place for brunch so we checked it out. It was a bit of a slog getting to the lower-east side, but I'll be damned if we didn't have The Ultimate Brunch:
* Hip surroundings and clientele
* ...including I believe, Gary Busey
* Unpretentious attitude
* And a $12 brunch special which included:
* Very tasty food and
* Unlimited mimosas
I'd like to repeat that last item: unlimited mimosas.
Really, it put my preceding favorite brunch place to shame.
I have ordered a (real) digital camera! I'm so excited.
Edit: How could I forget one of the most important +s of our dining experience?: Our waitress responded to every interaction we had with her as though she had a secret and intense crush on us.
And the name of the place is Essex; hardly a hidden gem, both CitySearch and New York list it as a top brunch place.
