We watched Ringu last night. I may lose indie-cred for saying so, but I definitely preferred the remake. Still, we got creeped out. We paused it to make root beer floats, and the door to our bedroom slammed exactly as the movie unpaused to loud TV. (Eek.)
Then a hay-ooj cockroach flew in our window. We caught it under a big glass bowl. And watched it scurry around and push against the walls of its prison. Don't cockroaches move eerie-like? After the film was over we tried to take it outside, but ended up semi-crushing the lil' bastard ("Gregor") under the lip of the bowl. It was traumatic for everyone involved, I think it's safe to say.
God, we're such pussies.
I went to see a matinee of The Matrix 2. It was enjoyable. Could've done with a little less talky. What do you think Matrix 3 will tell us? Are there sub-Matrices?
I hope my chex come tomorrow. My bank balance is crying.
