Had dinner & drinks with BigBabyBrooklyn last night. He's been talking about interviewing with "Mario" I thought it was the actual name of the interviewer, and since he's in games, I joked that I imagined him as a plumber in a red cap. No, he's been interviewing at Nintendo. I was just repeating his joke back to him. Regardless, I do hope you'll wish him luck.

On my mind lately: Granfalloons. A granfalloon is a proud and meaningless association of human beings. Like when you discover that you and some stranger both grew up in the same part of the country and you feel an absurd kinship.

On one hand, granfalloonery is silly. Sometimes it makes me uncomfortable — like when there's a disaster, and what's emphasized on the news is how many Americans are killed — rather than how many people. I don't know any of these people; should I really value any more than the others? On the other hand... it's nice to connect with people, even over stupid things.

As long as you know it's just a granfalloon. (Rather than a karass, of course.)
