Lane Splitting...
I'm sure all of you Californians know what this means. Whether you ride a motorcycle or drive a car, once traffic slows down, that's when it happens.
For any of you that don't know that term, lane splitting is when motorcyclists drive BETWEEN the lanes in traffic jams. Yes, driving BETWEEN all those cars that are stuck in traffic.
I'd heard of it, and even experienced it from the the car drivers perspective on previous trips to LA, but it wasn't until yesterday when approaching San Fran that I was fortunate enough to experience it from the motorcyclists perspective. What? Fortunate to hit traffic? Yeah, that's never good. But what a neat experience. Especially with a giant motorcycle that's loaded down with luggage (Skott's VTX). It's something I've seen on TV and such, just not something I ever expected to do myself.
Anyhow, that's yet another exciting highlight to the San Fran trip

being out of the state give you a perfectly acceptable reason. this time... but don't think it'll work again - from here on out all activities/vacations/work/etc. will be planned around the SGCO schedule. 'cause i'm determined that from now on we will have one, lol.
