It was an odd evening. I usually don't drink at all, preferring a life of sobriety for several reasons. Mostly for reasons like I end up making out with a hot (but married) school teacher at a local bar. Reasons like going into my favorite corner coffee shop all blitzed asking where the hotties that work there are going tonight. Now that I think of it, I think I told them all about the 3rd grade teacher that about molested me in that parking lot. I know I started mopping the floors for the one girl working there. I DO remember offering them all free cable, something that would get me extremely fired.

Fuck I need a new scene. I only do things like that because I'm bored out of my mind here. I moved to Columbus for a girl, stayed here for another few years for another girl, and now I have nothing for me here. Now it's been so long, there's nothing for me back home. I'm kinda stuck here because of my speciality in my job, but i just don't want to be here anymore.

ok, so here the bedtime story i promised - the pictures are really why i bought this, but the wording is beautiful as well.. its called Rise the Moon by Eileen Spinelli..

Rise the moon
and lunar moth,
drawn to it's lovely shine,
flits across the blossoms
of the dreamy moonflower vine.

While in a rooftop attic
in the quiet hush of night,
a moonlit artist
takes his brush
to paint a bowl of light.

A downstairs dancer
climbs up to
the dappled roof alone
to do a graceful moon-dance
on her neighbor's garden stone.

A night-shift baker
rolls a moon-shaped crust
for apple pie
as moony tomcat
yowls atop
an alley fence nearby.

And, oh, the sleep sailor
on the swaying schooner knows
it is the pull of the moon
by which the ocean
comes and goes.

Sea turtles launch themselves
across a breezy dune
toward the surf
that's speckled golden
by the midnight moon.

The silver wolf
is called to howl
its ancient moonstruck song.
Others in the pack join in:
a haunting sing-along.

The cozy camper
reads by moonlight
and a tired hiker sees
a welcome path of moonbeams
through the darkened trees.

Astronomers
star-party
on the soaring mountain slopes
to watch the distant moon-face
through skyward telescopes.

Moon-wakened mouse
goes gathering,
so busy and so brave,
while bat awakens
upside down
and flutters from her cave.

Some farmers
follow faithfully
this old advice indeed:
that moonrise
is the wisest time
for planting pumkin seed.

Young mother
swings by moon-glow
beneath the leafy boughs,
while baby dreams
of Mother Goose
and moons and jumping cows.

So rise the moon,
so round and bright,
let its tender magic fall.
Within its spell of splendor
we are
moon-hearted creatures
all.

I wish you could see the illustrations - theyre beautiful! smile

I have a second favorite, but thats going to have to wait for another night. Hope you sleep well...

Man, if you feel the need to move on - LET YOURSELF DO IT. The only thing you're going to regret is not trying something new, right?
