I posted this in the Epilepsy group, but thought it was worth sharing.

"I have a story you would love and it got me kicked out of a Subway. I could completely sue, but I'm not going to. It was about my service dog who happens to only be 10lbs. Not all service dogs are Retrievers ya know. They don't all have to be "big".
Well, the stupid chick behind the counter didn't believe that he was a service dog. For one thing, I don't look like I have a disability. Seizures aren't necessarily visibly apparent, and they're not always grand mal like fucking Hollywood makes them out to be. But she was completely ignorant and so rude right when I walked in the door. She actually called the owner and the owner told her that only seeing-eye dogs were allowed in there.
WHAT?
I went completely off. How fucking ridiculous. Even if I knew nothing on the subject, that statement is dumbfounding. Yeah because the only disability dogs help with is blindness. They called the cops on me and by the end of the argument, I was shaking so badly, I nearly had one. And then the cop didn't even believe me. WTF? I had the phone number for the ADA, which was on the service dog card (that I am not required by law to show) and he called it, then just hung up and said he didn't have time for this and to bring the paperwork to the station since he had never heard of this law. Fucking ignorance. Really?"

This picture was taken Christmas of 2008. My dog's name is Bishop. He is three now; born Sep. 30th of 2006. And he is a Yorkie/Maltese mix.
