I was feeling a little inspired suddenly. So- a new poem (admittedly a rough draft, but it's the first one I've written in months, so... yeah).
"I Want To..."
know you inside and out
smear the colors and blur the edges
wear you stained on my clothes
hang you on my walls where no one else sees
feel you in my hands on my skin in my arms
taste you on my lips the tip of my tongue
taste you in the salt and the sweat and the blood
have all of you for me though proud I'd never hide you
cover your wounds and watch you heal
mix love and lust as we mix limbs and sheets
be the man you want and the man I want to be

Yeah we were checking out how to do the Presidential race. It's really not that difficult. Our major hurdle would be coming up with the $5000 backing but I told my husband we could easily do fundraisers for that. But he wants to work his way up to the White House instead of just jumping in and not really knowing what he's doing so to speak. It would be cool to get that far though!
