Had a good night last night. A friend's bday party, low key shindig, dinner at Carly's Bistro (where a dude was playing some jazz flute- Anchorman FTW) follwed by drinks at Lost Leaf which is a house that was converted into a bar. There was a ska/punk band playing that was pretty good.
Talked to one of my housemates' friend through most of dinner, she is an absolute sweetheart and I hope to maybe talk to her again in the not too distant future. Then at the bar talked to a dude about Ed Wood and Troma movies and had a few laughs. So, yeah, good times.
Tonight there are 2 more birthday parties that are luckily by happenstance taking place at the same bar. So that should be fun. Being the non-drinker of course my contribution to every bday bar outting is to be the DD for whoever's bday it happens to be, but I really don't mind it. I like driving anyway, my car= my tunes.

Of course, before any of tonight's festivities I've got to get off to the gym to meet with the trainer and get my ass kicked again. Still have lbs to go before I meet my goal- but I'll get there.
This year is the year I improve myself, body, mind, spirit, and life. So far it's been an amazing run of rediscovering the person I want to be now that the military is out of my life, and a lot of the poisonous influences and people from my past are cut out of my day-to-day.
I'm nowhere near the person I want to be yet, but I'll get there.

Much love to all. Hope you're having a good weekend too.
and thanks for the kind words on the other post, hope you enjoy your weekend too!
My husband and I are not the types of people to sit on our asses with shit like this. I know I am a registered voter (not sure about him) so I will be getting my ass to the polls. My husband is actually going to look into what it would take to run for governer for 2014. That's how fed up he is with it.
