Candy Bar Girls
Just found out that Channel 5 (in UK) are airing a reality tv series tonight on the life of lesbians living in London. I'm in two minds about it because it can go really positively or add fuel to the fire of making people hate us even more. I might be pansexual and not just attracted to women but I can see it adding fuel to the fire personally.
Its hoping to show Lesbian lives with no clichs etc. So basically not just showing the sex but showing what actually happens in lesbian relationships. The ups and downs, and just normal life i.e. coming out to parents.
There's only going to be 6 episodes so I hope channel 5 do it well. Fingers crossed.
I'm going to watch it with an open mind and hopefully it will live up to expectations that people keep tweeting about. And portray the real life of lesbians, not just the stuff that you see in soaps - REAL LIFE Hopefully it won't be like "The only way is Essex" and "Gordy Shore" and "Made in Chelsea" because those shows do not show real life and real people.

gutted though ive only just read that i'd have liked to have seen, does 5 have a catch up thing online do you know? hopefully it will be a really nice down to earth portrayal of like you said, real relationships and people, lets hope so, a decent one has been a long time coming! x
