Okay. So tomorrow is the work holiday party. Not sure how this is going to go. We had a rough fiscal year, to the tune of no bonuses for anyone. The regular Christmas party was cancelled, and we only got the okay provided that lunch is a potluck. No, big, work is providing the booze, so there's that.

But, we're having the party at the office as opposed to an offsite location. We've done that before, and it can be a lot of fun. 10 years ago when we had the holiday parties that way, it was TONS of fun. Of course we had interesting people that worked for us back then. Anymore we have a reduced size staff, and a lot of the fun people have left to work elsewhere or go back to school.

Anymore we have @6 fun people (I include myself in that group ), then we have @25 fuddie duddies, and then the rest are late 50's and they act like they are in their late 70's. So, I'm sure that this will be very interesting.

Do you know all those stories that people tell about the company Christmas party where "Bill" got trashed and totally made a pass at "Mary;" And "Jimmy" and "Amy" were getting busy in the supply closet? Yeah, I don't think that will be happening at our company party. AND - we have a new CEO, so I think everyone is going to try and be on extra good behavior - possibly brown nose/kiss ass mode.

All in all, I think it may end up being a crazy lame event in which nobody has a good time, but everyone says that it "was one of the best company parties ever." Yeah - kiss assers. Ugh.

Well, hopefully I can find some other interesting activities before the year is over. It would be nice to have a little fun before the year is over.
