The Movies.... nice! Living in Silverlake you are probably aware (no pun intended) in Midnight Movies.
I, however, am NOT from Silverlake. I'm from San Diego and play in a band called lowcloudcover. I'd love to finally be able to connect with the METROPOLIS above us. I've got contacts and regular peeps in the Bay Area and Arizona.. but LA has been nothing but a disappointing bust.
