Well tonight was interesting. Uncomfortable at times, but necessary and a bit of a relief.
Soulshaker and I went to see my parents after we'd both finished work and sat them down with a cup of tea for an unexpected announcement. They could see that some kind of news was coming, but I think they were expecting to hear talk of "the patter of tiny feet"... so I think we hit them with a bit of a bombshell.
Y'know that strange feeling of euphoria that you get when you've been dreading a certain moment and then you get the relief when it's over? That's how I felt when we left the house. Now I'm just kinda stable again. We drove home, grabbed some food, sat and talked for a bit, just like friends would do. It's kinda nice to have the relationship we've got at the moment. This could have been a whole lot harder if we weren't as mature as we're being about everything.
So in case anybody here doesn't know what I'm talking about, I'll let Billy Connolly explain. This song is just so true to our situation right now. Err... except the bit about the dog. Ummm.... which is basically the whole song. So yeah, this song (except for about 95% of the lyrics which are about a dog) says it all. In other words, this song is nothing like our situation at all. It's about a fucking dog. But it's funny, and it's called....

I remembered you had a group request declined a while back. Seriously, do they actually let you make groups any more?
I kinda thought they may have declined my group because people would just yell at each other. But I did say in my application that I would make it private, vet members, have a strict format and kick out any jackasses. Oh well.
P.S I replied to your atheists group post. I can't believe I'm saying this, but where do I enrole for bible study?
