Not long ago I realised that I am actually quite an angry person. Very angry really, almost to the point where I feel that my anger defines me.
If you met me, you'd be surprised. I don't come across as an angry person at all. I'm quite quiet, easy to get along with, very friendly, very laid back, I don't go crazy when things don't go my way... In fact, I barely ever lose my temper. I'm very patient with people and with circumstances, and I don't lash out or take out any bad moods I might find myself in on people around me.
But I get fucking angry! And it drives me sometimes. The things that piss me off the most are frauds, con-artists, people who try to take away your - or my - personal rights, people motivated by greed, people who want to keep you afraid, blah blah blah...
I quite often post on forums arguing the case against religion and other forms of circular reasoning, or the case for liberal politics and such as these are the things that get me going. It's that feeling of being so passionate about the values that are important to me that make me feel alive! I miss being in a band, as that was a pretty good outlet for anger.
If I tried to express all of my opinions though, I'd probably start to bore myself (and you, reading this) because I tend to write in a very straightforward, plain style. So instead, I took a few clips of some of my favourite comedians to say it for me. Even if you don't really care what I think, watch at least some of these, cos they're funny as hell!
OK, let's start with Bill Hicks on "clean cut" musicians. Scouting For Girls should take note of this, bunch of fucking pussies that they are!
George Carlin on Abortion (Pro-life is anti-woman)
Ricky Grevais on Creationism
Bill Hicks - Artistic Role Call. This is particularly prominent in my mind after "punk" legend John Lydon took a slight "career change" with his decision to advertise butter on British TV. What a prick!
Wanda Sykes on gay marriage. For all those still sore about proposition 8.
And to finish it off for today: George Carlin - Religion is bullshit
