In a departure from my previous blog, I will now be posting a very selfish, very attention-whorish blog.
Warning, there is "emo-ness" and "pathetic-ness" galor in these spoilers. I wouldn't expect anybody to read it and if your opinion of me is at all important to you you probably shouldn't. *sigh* Oh well. puke

The song "I want you to want me" has always resonated with me in some strange way. I suppose now though the correct lyric would be "I want somebody to want me". You always see in the movies that girl that pines after that guy. He is usually oblivious to it until the very end when the happy ending finally comes. The sad thing is that actually happens in real life in some ways. I probably realize this more because I talk to more girls these days than anything else, but I'm constantly hearing about crushes.

How awesome this guy is. How he doesn't even know she exists. How he doesn't care. How much she wants him. I'm not jealous and I'm happy to hear these stories. I just wish something like that could happen to me some time. It seems like I'm always the guy pining after a girl (or multiple girls) and never the one pined after.

I suppose there's nothing exactly "pine-worthy" about me. I don't have a six-pack, I can't play guitar, I don't have any body modifications or a funky haircut, I don't really have anything that people would think about when fantasizing about the "perfect guy".



Maybe I need to watch less TV or movies... or be more "manly"... I don't know. Any ideas? blackeyed

EDIT: I appreciate any comments you feel like giving but please don't assume that I wrote this hoping for compliments or anything like that. For one thing, the chance that I'll believe you is incredibly slim and for another if I actually get them that might make me feel more pathetic because I know they're only coming as a result of my blog. I just wanted people to maybe catch a glimpse of where my head is these days.

I didn't know about this Blue Beanie nonsense until like the day before, and it had been circulating in blogs I normally read for over a week. I almost missed it! shocked

And I'm pretty sure this isn't what you mean with what you've typed up there, but it runs dangerously close to you judging your self-worth in terms of what someone else thinks of you. Never mind the fact that the "perfect guy" is the ultimate moving target, not only changing in description from person to person, but also influenced by trends and media tongue
