So last night, by far was the best night I've had in a long time, if not ever.
IT all started with me and my buddy Ian going to the Mustard Plug/Casualties show at the magic stick in Detroit.
We were standing in line, actually at the door, getting our wristbands for our drinkey drinkey, then we look over and see a dude passing out CDs.
Ian says "Uhh dude.. I think that's Sterg. (From Choking Victim) So he says to someone standing next to us, "Hey, I head that Star Fucking Hipsters were playing tonight too.. Anyone know where and what time?"
Sterg then says "Uhh I'm in that band!" So we started talking to him. We then decided that we would much rather go see them (We've seen Mustard Plug approx 7-8 times each, and The Casualties are kinda over-hyped IMO) But we didn't know where the venue they were playing was at (The Trumbellplex) so we asked if we could follow them to the show. he says "Of course! We're inside eating right now, but we'll be leaving shortly. Hey, you guys wanna chill till then?" Needless to say our jaws dropped and we jumped at the chance.
So after a slice of the za, and a beer, we followed them over to the show. there was no booze really there cause it was a commune house that was hosting the show so we walked up to the corner store and bought a few 40s and an 18 pack of beerz and then some shit for the hipsters as well.
The show was fucking awesome, and some point durring the night me and Ian got caught up in helping a few people whom passed out in the dirt find their friends and get out of there safely. After the hipsters played we helped them get their shit in their van, then chilled with them while the last band was up. After the last band played and pretty much everyone left we helped the commune people and the hipsters clean up the place, and were asked to hang out for a while. So we hopped in the band's van and rode up the street to the only liquor store in the area that was still open and bought a shit load of beer, went back to the commune and GOT TO FUCKING JAM WITH THEM. Nico, the female lead whipped out her Violin; Frank, their bassist got a guitar; Nico's boy found a rather amazing ancient bass guitar somewhere; and i managed to find some bongos, and we rocked out till like 4 in the morning.
They were headed to Riotfest today so they had to leave at about 11 this morning, and around 4 they needed to hit some sleep. The commune people asked if we wanted to stay there as well, but i had my moms wheels and I knew she wouln't be too happy if we slept down there in that part of town with her car outside so we went home.
BUT we got a bunch of nice shit, and Nico promised us both Tattoos, as when she is done with the tour she will be somewhere about an hour north of Columbus which is like only a 2 hour drive from here.
We promised her we would get a large group of people to get work done as well, so if anyone from the area wants a tattoo from a member of the Star Fucking Hipsters/Casa Ce Chihuahua, let me know! I'll give you info on when and where she will be when I get it myself. =3
