I have often been shocked and appalled by the incredible numbers of people I've known (and caught!) who've stolen from family, friends and co-workers. I've had money and things stolen from me that I would have been happy to give to the cretins if they would have just asked.

I have been to India for some time, and I think that the devastation of the Earth is worse where there is less freedom (e.g. in the Third World), and I think that the treatment of life there is emblematic of the treatment of all things of value to us here in the West.
