I used to go see the ocean in Mexico once a year with my family as I was growing up. It has been 18 years since the last time I visited. I miss it quite a lot. Sometimes, living in the desert makes the pining for the ocean all the more sad and strangely humorous.
But I've always had a twisted sense of humor.

Yes, going back to class after having been away for 10 years. It's an interesting experience.

I've never been to the desert. Pretty much always east coast. Planning my first trip out that way for next summer. Nevada.

But I understand missing the ocean. There's something about it that helps me. Rhythmic waves on rocks. Wind.

Twisted sense of humor... that's good. surreal
