I ended up getting a Radeon 9600SE. I'm probably going to take it back and exchange it for a 256 MB GeForce. Turns out the SE is sort of a shit bucket of a card. Worst of the best, so to speak.

As for virtual disks, I actually *bought* my copy of Sims 2. However, they don't even allow the game to *start up* unless you disable all virtual drives. (pain in the ass)
