is it just in my nature to be the teacher's pet?
my digital photography teacher said that when we go on our field trip on wednesday, since i got the highest grade on the midterm (100 bitchez!) i can use his camera (a friggin D2H, ssooooo effin hawt!)
i'm excited.
i have this friend who thinks she is the best at everything.
she's a pretty decent friend, too, but i can't help but want to rub it in her face when she isn't the best.
i guess that says a lot about me, doesn't it?
mostly i feel that way because i know she's the same toward me.
for instance: last quarter i got the opportunity to assist one of our teachers on a photoshoot for a magazine cover.
when i told this friend, she was like instantly jealous and started telling me that the teacher talks shit about me behind my back and she doesn't really like me. i was like... uh, ok. then why did she ask me to help her? and why did i get the highest grade in the class?
i was so offended.
p.s. i didn't shoot that photo. i helped set up the lights and frame the shots, and talked to the models when my teacher was futzing with something...

why do people feel the need to randomly come onto my journal and read it and say mean shit? that is what my previous entry is about. i wrote out this really long entry about how i was trying to regain control of my diet and stuff. this random girl comes on and says something about how she laughed her way through reading it, and she's jealous because at least i can afford to eat or something. it was all said very smugly, like my problem was minscule in the world. of course it is. i know that. but seriously, keep it to yourself. MY journal is a place to express the shit i'm thinking about.
goes back to the old adage: if you don't have something nice to say, then shut the fuck up!
especially when you're cutting into someone else's business who you know nothing about...
so the monitor on my PC (i'm currently on my laptop) exploded. when we first moved into our new place, i set it all up on my desk and decided to wipe down the screen. guess that was a bad idea, cause a couple minutes later i was in the bedroom and i heard a pop come from the living room. i run out to see what's going on, and my monitor's smoking. i imagine it had something to do with the tiny amount of water that was left on the screen after i wiped it down. woops. weird thing is - it still works. but i'm afraid to use it because i don't want it to die for good. i don't use that computer too much, mostly because i don't have a wireless card for it yet, but someday i'll go back to using it as my primary computer. i miss that beautiful piece of machinery!
i live across from the laundry room in our new building, and the dryer sounds like when you're on the subway going through a tunnel. every time i hear it running, i think of being in beantown on the T.
last quarter, i had the opportunity to photograph a local band in the studio. it was splendid. the band is Funkfoot, and they rock! here is one of the shots:
they are so cool.
