Okay.. today sucked.

We had to put down a Golden Retriever named Rusty and everyone in the office knew him by name cause he's so damn sweet. He came in with his own leash in his mouth and wobbled his way into the exam room and sat down like a good boy, looking up at his mom for approval. They stayed for an hour doing...

So the clinic job has been fabulous... I got to deliver pug puppies yesterday via c-section. Dr. Petersen did an emergency spay immediately after because the mother's bladder had fused to the wall of her uterus after a previous c-section and one horn of her uterus ruptured during the last day of her pregnancy. She couldn't have anymore litters.. but OH MY GOSH were those...

"Also, I am having issues with the way the vets perform standard procedures.. mostly because they don't give pain meds for spay/neuters... "

That sounds horrfic for the animal I remember putting a cathader into a 6'4 350lb man and watchin him cry, i couldnt imgaine removing that body part, animal or not without any type of sedatives, ouch. Glad to hear things are going good out there!

Yay! I started my internship on Saturday at Dr. Peterson's clinic... It was pretty cool. We shaved a dog down that was covered in maggots and ticks.. poor baby. I just about slapped her stupid parents... We also had a little tiny 5 week old kitten (runt) with a tummy problem, poor baby couldn't keep anything down.... Tonight I start my waitressing job... (... errr)...

Okay, so since I'm bored and can't leave the house and go downtown with the SGFL crowd (*sobs*) cause I can't drive my mom's vehicle.... I'm chilling out at my Mom's goofing around on this fabulous website.
So for those of you who don't know, my family is moving to Arizona... My dad's already there and all of my stuff is already moved out there....

*I'm COMING HOME FOR A WEEK*

Alrighty-so finals went well. I just got finished playing "drunken volleyball" so this is rather difficult to type. Jon's graduation is Sat, and I'll be chilling out here until then. His parents are coming to town, which should be fun, followed by our 18 hour drive to Phoenix.. Bleh. The 16th I'm coming back to Orlando for a week.....

Right-so for those of you who don't know I'm grieving... check yesterday's post.

I'm having one hell of a time with this... taking it a step at a time, but oh my god... I can barely squeak out a sentence today without bawling.

It's also really hard because Jon's a philosophy major-and thinks we kinda just disappear when we die. SO all of the sweet...

i think getting all the crying out now is good. god, that's just alot of stress on you all of a sudden, i don't think you'd be normal if you didn't have outbursts. hang in there is all the advice i can muster.
s_eldorado:
Babe, I'm so sorry to hear of everything you're going through.

Know that our thoughts are with you and that some of us can commiserate a little - my Dad has just been given inside of a year to live due to terminal small-cell carcenoma (lung cancer) and I've just moved 6000 miles away from everyone I love to Australia. It's been a little overwhelming here and there so I feel your pain to some degree.

The one thing I must try and get across is that you shouldn't feel any regret with your Grandma's passing. Regret is a wasteful emotion and I'm sure she wouldn't want you to feel it. Living your life well is the ultimate gift to your ancestors.

Good luck with everything.
