When I walked the Camino in Spain, I was filled with a sense of flow, fulfillment, and contentment.
Since I`ve gotten back to Montreal I`ve thought about exactly what elements constituted this experience so that I wouldn`t have to walk across Spain for the rest of my life to experience it again.
So that thought has been percolating in the back of my mind for two years.
Recently my stepfather died which prompted me to get things in gear.
So I started reading a bunch of stuff. The actual realization while personally impactful isn`t overly mindblowing.. basically if I a) exercise every day b) have a daily challenge c) frequent neophilic social contact d) closure of open loops in my brain I`m dangerously deliriously happy and content. Productivity went up, mood went up, alcohol and shitty food consumption went down. Good things across the board. I`m even flossing more.
