Blue and I had a busy weekend full of friends, family, job interview and a whole lot of driving. It started off with traveling to Maryland for the wedding of Blue's sister Del and ended with coming home to finding that our cat Siruis, with OCD and a self mutilation fixation, had once again gone after his tail and put a pretty big hole in it.
He has had to have several very expensive surgeries in the past to have the damaged portion of his tail removed and his tail shortened. He his been so good about it for so long that it had all be come a bad memory, but here we are once again. It all came back pretty quick. Digging through the house looking for the old materials to treat my psychotic cats self inflected wounds. Antibiotic ointment, gauze, bandage, cone collar, and antidepressants. I've been up for most of the night taking care of my drugged up psychotic kitty; making sure that he stays calm, helping him eat and drink with his cone on his head. Soon I'll be off to the vet to spend money I don't have to heal my crazy cat.
I think the rest of his tail might have to come off to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Wish me and Siruis luck.
