You guys should really listen to the band Lilys. Especially their "mod" album, The 3-Way.
Worth your time and effort. Just today's suggestion.
babyhead made me listen to In Rainbows, and I enjoyed what I heard. I agree with her that it's a return to form for them, back towards what made OK Computer so great (although I don't want to put words in her mouth. I want to put food in there.) I was impressed by the individual tracks, but I still feel like they haven't really surpassed OK, even though I personally really loved Kid A.
Tried my dainty hand at pastels today, and chose as a subject the actor Jean Hersholt. Although he is an actor I like, who's been in over 140 films including many by Erich Von Stroheim (Greed, for instance), I really only picked him because I liked the particular image I was looking at. Sorry about the size of these, but I'm getting a new camera soon, so hopefully you can tell me what you think when you think of my little toddler steps towards making visual art.
ps.s. I have no idea what I want to express as a visual artist, which is confusing because I have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for when I write.
p.s.s. here's the pastel drawing:
