I'd crashed out early tonight for once, but then got a phone call at 11:30ish waking me up. I'm usually up late, so most people I know find it okay to ring me well into the early a.m. hours.
I went out to The Rainbow last night for the first time in weeks! It was good to see some familiar faces. The manager gave me some of his calamari while I waited for a table with one of my friends. I miss hanging out there and got plenty drunk on gin and tonics. Sexy porn star Kurt Lockwood showed me how to taste and drink red wine. I told him about the time I went wine "tasting" in Napa and how drunk I got. He said, "You're supposed to spit it out." I told him everyone always tells me that.
UPS is to deliver a couple packages to me tomorrow. I'm going to have to go on high alert. It is so difficult to get packages from them! Instead of coming to my door apartment door, they will usually just leave a delivery attempt notice in the lobby of my building. It's very important that I get this package! It contains my shampoo and I would very much like to wash my hair! I order my shampoo from San Diego. It's specially formulated and I can't find it anywhere else. No other shampoo makes my hair feel the way the stuff I order does. Since I wear locs I don't use a conditioner. I've found most shampoos aren't truly clarifying and tend to leave a residue that makes my hair feel stiff.
I've always been insanely particular about products I use on my hair. When I wore it curly I would only use stuff from Ouidad and Paul Mitchell. I would rather have dirty hair than wash it with products I deem inferior.
I was reading The R. Crumb Handbook at work the other day. I set it down for a moment and when I came back another girl was flipping through it. All I could think was, "Please don't come across the Angelfood McSpade comix. I'm really not in the mood to explain why it interests me." Thank goodness all she said was, "What's The R. Crumb Handbook about?"
I want to go to New York! I want to go there and relax and explore. I've never done that before. It's always been in and out. I want to go shopping, get a tattoo, visit Scores and catch a show. I want to attend a taping of David Letterman. I want to be tourist!!
I miss riding the Subway with infinitelykaty. She is the best navigator! She knows how to read maps! Every time I go to NYC I usually stay near Penn Station. Then when I have to go somewhere I just call and say, "Hello! How can I get there from Penn Station??" Without infinitelykaty, I am lost.
I am seeking something new and adventure like. I've been so bored lately I barely want to leave my apartment.
Baby kitty cries for everything. She cries for food, she cries to go potty she cries for petting. I wish I were a baby kitty so I could cry and get stuff, too!
