Band practice was fun last night. The guys told me I sounded better and louder. I need to practice the songs tho. I kept coming in at the wrong times and realized I only know those songs when I'm drunk. And then only kinda. Heh. I got halfway through practice and stuck my fingers in my ears and said, "Hey! Where are my earplugs???" Then I checked my pockets. Doh!
Uhhmmm.. I'm so fucking bored today. Ms. Chile is holed up in the darkroom again. She says she wants to use the photos of me for an upcoming exhibit, which is great. She has a really good eye for photography. The lighting, composition... everything. I'm very happy with the prints so far and had no idea what she was going for during the shoot until now.
I'm also very glad that she has a darkroom. I got an overview of photographic screenprinting yesterday and am very excited to get a kit and get started. I have a few ideas for t-shirts that I'd like to realize. So, should be fun.
I think I will spend today making more duct tape wallets. They were a hit with the housemates and they are asking for some of their own.
Tomorrow I get to go visit sister and nephew. I don't see them enough, and my nephew is adorable.
I'm taking them to Marine World next weekend.
One of my housemates agreed to sit for baby Tiger while I go to New York next month. I'm so stoked. I'm so happy to have something to look forward to.
I've been reflecting on all the things I have to be thankful for right now. Makaveli gave me some awesomecool advice. I don't need to relive my prior existance. That's the whole reason I run and shed the past. Things are great right now. It could be wonderful! I have insanely cheap rent by the beach. I have kickback, low (no) drama housemates. I have a job that pays me incredibly well for the little that I do- with full benefits. I have a baby cat that loves me and needs me more than anyone else in the whole world (so I like to tell myself). I have a handy dandy little buzzbuzz that gives me outstanding orgasms on demand!
Everything this girl could ever want.
