OMFG!! Sophie B. Hawkins is playing this month! I nearly fell outta my chair at work when I read that. I LOOOOOOOVE her. She's so beautiful! She has such an awesome voice. She studied percussion withBabatunde Olatunji. Must get tickets. Must see Sophie. I had a cat named Sophie. She was a runt.. never got very big.
So, Monday is my Birthday Observation Day. I am treating myself to Crusty Demon Global Assault and Sophie B. tickets. And maybe a new toy.
I've been writing a lot the past couple days. The fantabulous sugarmama recommended I read The Artist's Way, and it was just the kick in the ass I needed. I've been writing about everything and have gotten back into my old habit of carrying a notebook with me everywhere. I'm gonna dig up my old journals and go over some old story ideas I'd played with. Plot drafts.. character sketches. I've usually written poetry and short stories.. but I've always wanted to write a novel. Maybe I can try it this year. Treat myself to some time at a Red Room Studio.
Pride is this month. I have a safety committee meeting on Saturday so I can get prepped to join in the fun on the proper side of the barricade.
Mmmm.. Hot dogs, jalepenos and Ultra low carb beers! YUM!!

The Sting is an awesome crime movie about conmen and a big score, starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman; I think it won best picture. I rode in the dryer, while my friend pushed it (it wasn't on and Im not dead), and later I sort of rode on it... I ve never heard of Ken Park. Ken Park?
