I got a pet chameleon today. This guy was giving him away.
I generally like more "interactive" pets, rather than the "ornamental" type. So, this is a new experience for me.
I really want a cat. I was offered free kitties left and right, then as soon as I move to a place where I can have one, no more free kitties.
Meanwhile, my brother is finding cats all over the place. He found one baby with a broken leg and nursed it back to health. I would try and get one from him, but I don't know how a cat would feel venturing across 80 miles in a car with a new owner.
Hell, the last time I had to move babies that I already owned, they freaked out. They hid under the bed for days. I had to shove water under the bed to try and get them to drink, they were so stressed out.
Well, hopefully things work out with Mr. Chameleon. His name is Tac. It seems like he responds to it. His eyes open and he stares at me. I seriously wish he were snuggable. Or petable. Something.
My friend used to have these beta fish and I was always reaching in the bowl and trying to pet it. She would say, "WHAT are you doing? Don't do that!!" And I would say, "What?? I'm just trying to pet it. What's the point in having a pet you can't pet???"

hi.

My ex moved to Amsterdam and I aquired an iguana which is essentially an ornimetle pet, so I know what you mean...but the thing is once I learned that this lounging lizard had her own special little quirks, she began to grow on me. So since iguanas lieve to be about 35 or so, it looks like I've got a new semi-life partner. Good looks with yours.
