I did not go on the audition. The band wants to do a west coast tour, and I seriously don't have time (or money) to fund that sort of globe-trotting right now. ::le sigh:: It sounds like a superfabulistic time, tho. I rilly wish I could go. They emailed me again to make sure I really didn't want to audition anymore. ::pout::
Last weekend my roommate and I played host for this band outta New York called Robot With Werewolf Hand. They played out at the Gilman and were super stoked about it. It was cute. Roommie caught the bug... before we got to the venue she was telling me how now she wants to start a band so we can drive cross country, playing shitty venues and partying up. I made some snarky comment to her like, "Well, we should start a band. Since we're girls, it's not like we even hafta know how to play our instruments!" I couldn't have made up the double takes that comment brought. lol. I piss a lotta people off by saying shit like that. Pushing buttons. But, if you know me, you'll know I'm only kidding.
I've decided to go back to school and become a Certified Massage Therapist. It's something I've been wanting to do for a couple years... I went to school for it before but I didn't finish. Partway through the first semester I got distracted, missed my final and ended up going to Hawaii for a spell. *Hopefully* I can stay more grounded this time about. I just get side-tracked waaay to easily. So, I'm putting all the other shit away. No bands, no music. Well, okay, I'm still going to continue my voice / guitar lessons. I have to have those outlets.
Which merinds me. My voice coach emailed me from Santa Fe. I should call him... he gimme his cell phone number before he left. We had SUCH a good talk. Just about life and The Universe. Awesomely inspiring. I can't wait until he gets back.
My friend Danny text messaged my cellaphone. Told me his band broked up and he's moving to LA(la land) in January! ::le wah!!:: I don't want sweet sweet danny boy to go!! All my sweet boys ALWAYS leave me!!
I met this boy... he's from Minnesota. I like him SO much. He's kinda quiet, has crooked teeth and freckles. He gets blushy. He is moving back to Minnesota next month.
I guess I'll be needing to get out more. Oooh!! The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are coming to town. And Peaches!!! Ack!! I'm going I'm going I'm going!!!
