****HAPPY AUGUST*****

It's interesting how small the world can seem sometimes.

I'm auditioning for this band on Monday. They sent me to a link to download some mp3s and lyrics, and I noticed that their old vocalist/bassist is the same girl who is in this other band from Santa Monica that I saw play last weekend. So, I mention it, and they were like, "that's so funny. We were at that show, too". So, I've probably already met these guys.

Crazy.

I have a jam session tomorrow with a couple other girls. We mostly just want to play covers, and maybe, possibly work on some originals. Should be fun.

My voice coach is out of town until September. The next Gathering is in October. Twice a year him and his students rent an auditorium and have a potluck / showcase thingit. We just sing, and eat and celebrate. I can't wait for that.. to see what his other students have been working on.

I need to find time this weekend to clean my room. I have so many books and I bet more than half of 'em belong to the library. I hate borrowing from the library because I never like to give the books back and I always end up with the most insane fines. The biggest fine I've ever had was around $65.00. I brought all the books back, so it was pure late fees. I did pay it, but I can't borrow in that county anymore.
