I went to see "The Book of Eli" tonight. Very cool movie in the sense that I love movies with a good dose of whoop ass.However, part of me wondered by the end, if some religious power house funded the making of that movie much the same as the American military funds epic military movies.

Then it made me wonder, if God really planned the remake of the world through some apocalyptic event, would God really want the bible as the word? After all even in the movie, the misguided western black hat of the mad max midwestern town called it a weapon.

Strangely enough, if my wee bit of history is correct, the bible was an oral history for many years before it was written down anyway. I would have loved to have seen the movie take that twist at the end instead of killing him off. It also ended up on the book shelf with alot of other books as well. That in itself is food for thought.

Actually daytime works really well because evenings I'm either teaching or in class! I currently have the craziest schedule right now but there are windows of opportunity. What are you up to on Tuesday afternoon?
