yesterday i had my interview and portfolio review with the photo editor for austin monthly
i got all decked out in a new suit and headed down to their offices
we sat down for about 45 minutes
went over my portfolio
talked about how i came up with concepts and lighting
talked about the magazine
talked about the details of the internship

when i left i felt really good about the whole experience
but
wasnt sure where things should
the photo editor told me she would look over the layout for the may issue
and see what she could send my way
but i still wasnt sure if it was mine or not

sent her an email when i got back home
after picking up some of the 4x5 film i had processed
i thanked her for her time today
told her i was looking forward to the opportunity
and basically closed with the assumption the job was mine
apparently
it worked
she replied as she was leaving the office
with the details for my first two assignments for print in the May issue
