GAH! Every time I come home I remember why I left.
My family is so ridiculously Republican and it doesn't help that I'm in the military. They always treat me like I'm someone special. I hate being in the military and I think about getting kicked out all the time. My current contract is up in just about three years. Thank God. Even my uncle is Republican... and he's gay!
Some things are nice though. I missed my nephews. Unfortunately, Bumpy is four now and everything is a bad word. Sometimes he calls a foul when I accidentally drop an f-bomb, but even "butt" is a bad word. I asked him what the safe alternatives were and he told me "booty, buns or cute things." Cute things? That's funny.
Sometimes I screw up. I gave Bumpy a donut for breakfast and I heard my sister yell from the opposite side of the house "Who gave him chocolate!?" Oops!
There was chocolate everywhere.
