So the movers came today and all my stuff is gone.

I'm surprised at how rapidly the boredom has set in.

Sometimes I think that I may be a little too cali-centrist for my own good. Sometimes I have bizarre little stereotypes about other states. Best of all is when I'm proved right.

This is a more-or-less verbatim conversation I had with someone on Saturday night.

This one soldier from, you guessed it, Texas shared with us how he only recently learned that Mt. Rushmore was a human creation. He told us that all this time, he thought Mt. Rushmore was a natural creation... ironically looking like four of our ex-presidents.

Him: Hey don't blame me. I got a Texas education.

Me: Translation: Possum's good eatin'.

Him: Hey! Possum is good eatin'.

This is the same guy who confessed to us that he had sex with his sister. He shut up an entire table of some of the loudest, fastest talkers I've ever known including yours truly when he dropped that bomb on us.

And I'm moving to Texas later this year! *groan*
