The wedding went beautifully. smile

It was a German/American wedding and all the drunk American guys were hitting on this German girl:

But guess who ended up eating her out and fucking her? C'mon... guess! ;D It was a lot of fun too. smile

She made me promise not to tell either. whatever

At any rate, there was a... hiccup in the ceremony. A palpable moment of awkwardness, if you will.

Formal Army functions have this tradition called "The Grog." Basically, it's the Army's history mixed in a punchbowl. Permit me to explain.

In this case, the groom and most of the military guests were tankers (boo! SirLoins is Infantry. Yay!), so the Grog took on the traditions of the Armor/Cavalry Regiment.

The first time American Cavalry saw action was in the Spanish-American War when America and Spain fought in Puerto Rico, so a whole bottle of Puerto Rican Rum went into the punch bowl.

Next was the Mexican American war, so a whole bottle of tequila went into the bowl.

You can see where this is going. Don't get ahead of me. wink The rest is more or less verbatim from the less-than-sober soldier talking us through the Grog.

"Next was World War Two where America fought against, well, you guys."

AWKWARD.

I think every American was thinking the same thing, "Fast forward this part," or, "We already know how this ends," or just "Next!"

Long story short, at the end the punch bowl held Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Plum Wine (German plum wine because the Grog was a last minute idea and they had to go to a Netto station. Usually it's SoJu for the Korean War, but they found a wine with Asian writing so... adapt and overcome), brown sugar (for the sand of the Persian Gulf War) and chocolate sauce (for the oil of Operation Iraqi Freedom).

People were taking shots of this shit and gagging (that's the point. It's one of those macho military things). I flat out said I wasn't going to do it, but I relented. I got lucky. Most of it was gone by the time I got there and I got a lot of the brown sugar and chocolate sauce.

The taste of tequila was so overwhelming that I didn't taste any of the other liquors PLUS the chocolate sauce made for a nice little chaser. It was actually quite good. smile

So that was last night for SirLoins. smile
