I'm sitting in the hospital munching on a sandwich and drinking some tea. I just had my cast removed, stitches pinged out and a splint made. I haven't seen my arm for two weeks and it's gotten so skinny from lack of movement, and I've got two big fuck off scars from where the incisions were made to insert the metal plate.
The hand therapist let me take all the interesting pictures so I can show off what hypermania does to a person like me.
So this is what a fractured distal radius bone looks like after falling over rollerblading...
All the medical students and professionals should be able to see the damage.
And the plate that was inserted...
And the big fuck off scars to remind me to wear wrist guards next time...
The real bonus is my splint is perfectly smooth and white... I'll be stopping off at the stationery store to buy some sharpies me think ^_^
