I am a very passionate person when it comes to animals, and that means my brainy side turns to mush when an argument comes up about animal cruelty. The emotionally detached can defeat me with big words and political expressions. I can argue all I want, but these people are impossible to talk to. So instead of arguing with people about why it's not ok to torture animals, I thought I'd take on a volunteering role at a local animal shelter. I've filled out and sent the application, just have to wait for a response. If I'm gonna change the world, I've gotta take baby steps.
