I could have posted this under alot of categories but I chose this cause it seems to encompass everything. First of all I'm new here and noone knows me yet. Let me begin by saying I had a horrible last half of 2012. Not going to bore you with the details because it's in the past. I've finally begun to put the things that happened behind me and am trying to move forward. The people I thought were my friends proved to be just acquintances so I decided to try to reconnect with some people from my past. Last month after numerous delays I finally made plans to meet with a woman I knew in high school and hadn't seen in over 20 years.
We met for dinner and it was like we saw each other yesterday. We closed down the place and were asked to leave by the staff. She even invited me to a party she was hosting that weekend. The Thursday before Christmas we were chatting online and somehow the topic of cuddling came up. I thought it was just online flirting so I moved on to mention a restaurant I wanted to take her to and she writes back "we should do it" so I fliratiously replied "dinner or cuddling?" and she replies "both". After a little more chatting I suggest we meet the next day cause I had some last minute shopping to do and asked her for her help. So we meet and spend most of the time going from shop to shop so she can try clothes on for herself. After we're done we get a bite to eat and close the place down again.
Fast forward to last night. We finally get together and I take her to the restaurant I mentioned. After dinner we go back to my place. I've bought a bottle of wine and the plan was to watch a movie and cuddle. She had also brought over a game to play as well, We get back to my place and sit on the couch. Turn on the TV and look for a movie to watch. She takes off her shoes and get under a shawl I have on my couch. We sit and talk for a bit but the whole time she's sitting on the opposite side of the couch as me. We decided there's no movies we want to watch at the time so we break out the game and open the bottle of wine. After the game she decides it's time for her to leave, thanks me for a nice evening, gives me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and heads home. Am I missing something here? There was no cuddling. She had even sent me a text earlier that day about our "cuddlefest". Where did I go wrong? Why does this have to be so difficult? Why do I let shit like this bother me? If anyone reads all of this I would love your feedback. I just had to vent.

Hey man, honestly don't let it bother you. In all likelihood, it's her and not you. Something may have hit her that night and she just felt like it was all going to too quick or something. Just roll with it, and ask her out again and see where it goes from there. The more at ease and confident you feel about the whole thing, the better it'll go.
