Yay. Have to work this morning; possibly all day, depending on how I fix my schedule for Friday morning. As it stands, I have to be at both jobs at the same time. Oy vey. Today is going to be so dead!!
On the bright side, I can look forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'm making Sweet Potato pie, and I can't wait. I love this time of year. Not just the actual holidays themselves, but the spirit of the holidays alone is just amazing to me.
So often we forget what's important to us, and it's this time of year that seems to remind us of what's important. Once you get past the awkward family gatherings, the evil shoppers, and screaming children, the holidays actually aren't that bad.
It's a time to embrace the warmth and love that we should all have for our fellow human beings and celebrate the year that has passed, our good luck for surviving it; and remembering those that couldn't while we look forward to that yet to come. It really is a beautiful time of year. At least, metaphorically, anyway. It's actually pretty dreary here at this time of year. Lots of nasty rain, grey skies, and not a lot of snow.

I agree totally. The holidays have the nicest vibe to them, especially if you're with the right people, whether they be family or good friends. Good luck figuring out the work schedule. I don't envy you that one, but you'll have enough fun to make up for it. Wow, I absolutely LOVE sweet potato pie! I've never had a homemade one, though! That's awesome, and I'm sure everyone will enjoy it. I of course buy all mine, and they are hard to find around here. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving tomorrow!
