I just knew that balloon story was nothing more than a bunch of hot air. I saw the entire family on "Larry King" the other day and it was so obvious. It's one thing to try to make the headlines, but (ab)using your own kids to take part in it is just plain sick. I hope this guy and his wife get a proper fine.

One of my best friends just got laid off as well. He was a Creative Director in another agency. It's happened to him twice within a year. I'm getting tired of being home all day as well. Still, I'm trying to stay positive. Part of that is keeping a strict daily routine, i.e. getting out of bed at the same time I used to when I was still working, going to my coffee shop every morning, checking the various jobs sites etc. And working out! Going for my daily run is great, I usually feel so much better and energized afterwards. People really need to stay positive around here. Some of the blogs I've been reading lately are heartbreaking, to say the least, but c'mon people, don't let the bastards wear you down! In the end we can only rely on ourselves to make us feel better, so we might as well get on with it.

Shinedown released a video for their new single "If You Only Knew", a song I've had on constant rotation for almost a year. It's such a killer tune and I love the lyrics as well.
