I just found out that my driver's license is suspended 
It all started in March (the night we moved into our new apartement) when I needed to go get a broom from Wal-Mart and some red tape to cover our broken tail light on our car. I was almost to Wal-Mart when I got pulled over for (guess what) my broken tail light. I pulled over and knew that I was going to get a ticket for it. The cop was taking forever to come back to give me my ticket and my information so I was a bit worried. The next thing I know, another cop pulls up and they come over and ask me to get out of the car, so I did. She started searching me and then said that they found a warrant out for my arrest from an insident that happened a year and a half ago! 
So there I was waiting to get booked into jail...I signed the ticket and the officer said that the ticket would be with my things when I was released. I got bailed out by my dad three days later and the ticket was not with my things!! I asked them about it and they said that it wasn't there. When I went to go sign my papers at the bonds office they looked me up in the system and said that a ticket was never posted and to call on Monday to make sure. I called on Monday and still, nothing was there.
My parents got a letter in the mail addressed to me saying that I have a bench warrant, an added fine (on top of my ticket) and now have my driver's license suspended!!! I never even got notification in the mail of my court date - otherwise I would've taken care of the issue! Actually, I would've just PAID that damn ticket and NOT gone to court...geez.
Now because my dad bailed me out of jail for $5,000 he is now on the line if this doesn't get taken care of! I swear, everytime I try to do things right, something else comes up I'm getting it taken care of this week though because I need my license and I don't want them to think I am avoiding the situation and not wanting to clear things up.
On the lighter side of things, I get to start working for Clinique at the end of next week as a cosmetics consultant!! It is the Clinique counter at the job I already work at (Foley's) so it will be fun!!
