I will begin by saying that I've met a whole lot of very friendly people within the local music scene of late, it's been peachy.
So last night MacGuyver and I headed along to the ELEMENO P gig and had an amazing night. I had not heard Streetwise Scarlett before and I have to say that they were top notch. We were bouncing around like idiots at the front of the stage and in doing so met a lovely crew of people. Streetwise Scarlett dedicated a song to MacGuyver and I hahahaha. I can't remember how that came about ... I think it was Jordan's doing. Anyway, we thought we were special because no one else had a shout out haha. After the onslaught of Streetwise Scarlett and a ton of beers later, ELEMENO P hit the stage. They played a mix of their old and new stuff, rocked out hard and it was bitchin'. I did get a tad sick of having Gibbo's crotch shoved in my face however hahaha but I had such a great time!
Afterward we had a chat with Scotty who was very nice indeed, fended off a few leeches, made some new friends and wandered off to Globe. The line was huge and we couldn't be bothered waiting so I had a bright idea to go Margarita's (shame) around the corner. I think the line was huge there as well because we tried playing the 'We're with Steriogram, let us jump the line' card. The bouncer asked who Steriogram were so that idea failed. It was onto Crow Bar after that. Here I was thinking that we would just be laxing out with the 'regulars' down there but no. How wrong was I. Tyson ushered us all upstairs to the VIP Lounge. It sort of felt like an ELEMENO P afterparty heh because all the band were there and their crew and what not. We shot some pool, talked a bunch of shit, drank some more and generally had a good time. I ended up coming home with a snazzy black 'No Rules Apply' hoody from Koash which I ended up spilling pie down hahaha.
Speaking of pies, MacGuyver and I headed home around 3am and made a pie stop on the way
I felt exhausted but extremely happy. We'd met a fantastic bunch of people, exchanged numbers and managed to invite them all to Snow Planet in a few weeks hahaha. Rock on mother fucka!
This morning we hauled our asses out of bed and Rich drove us to KFC. MMMMM hangover food. Now I'm sitting here feeling happy, but tired with achey muscles heh. I think that had to be one of the best nights out I've had in a while. I wish I had my camera with me
