It just makes me sad

I'm sort of confused about the entire Iraq situation. I don't think we got the full info on the reasons that we sent troops over. There is far too much speculation in the general populus to make me think we shouldn't have gone over there at all. Especially now that Saddam has been captured. Why are we still there?? That's probably my biggest question. That latest retalliation against the troops makes me think we are only going to further embitter the same terrorists who struck out at us. It's a big mess, really....

I have to think about how the troops will feel once they return. Will there be some weird problems they will have (like the awful desert disease from the Gulf War) that will create some backlash? And how will the rest of the country treat them, especially if they don't think we had a decent reason to be there. Also, will some of the troops speak out to the public about the things they witnessed while they were there? If so, will it change the public's ideas about that country?
